The educational lodging facility is a facility built specifically for people interested in Art, Architecture, and Sculpture in the United States. The ideas and conceptions are based on Donald Judd and his world renowned work and the specific characteristics of the town of Marfa. The identification of form and place will be based on specific elements around the town and the concept will be derived from the natural surroundings within the town. The key to a good design for this facility will be based on art and design through living, creating and working in the Marfa area. See Conceptual statement and preliminary sketches for a further explanation.
